Bradenton Area residents have access to three major hospitals as well as a wide range of public health-care services and privately operated walk-in clinics. Seventy percent of the area’s physicians, nearly 440, are registered with the Manatee County Medical Society.

Blake Medical Center’s services include the Heart Institute, Joint Care Center, Burn Center and Complex Hand Repair Services, a Level II Trauma center as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery.

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is an acute care hospital providing emergency services, an Orthopedic Spine and Joint Center, inpatient and outpatient surgery, Cardiovascular services, Women and Children’s Center with Obstetrical care, Breast Health Center, Imaging and Radiology, Physical Therapy, Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center, Sleep Center and Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.

Manatee Memorial Hospital is a 319-bed acute care facility that has served the community for 64 years. Their areas of specialization include cardio/cardiovascular services, inpatient and outpatient surgery, emergency medicine, orthopedic and spine surgery and women’s health services. The hospital has the county’s only Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Center.

The Bradenton Area also offers 13 skilled nursing facilities, 37 assisted living facilities and 27 home health agencies.
