ABOUT THE BRADENTON AREA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
The Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp. (EDC) is recognized by the state of Florida as the lead economic development organization for the Bradenton Area’s nine communities located on the south side of Tampa Bay. The EDC works to diversify the local economy by attracting and retaining high-wage jobs for area residents, and connecting existing businesses to the resources they need to succeed.
Led by a dynamic team and diverse volunteer leadership from private businesses and public sector partners, the EDC collaborates with economic development partners throughout the Tampa Bay region to offer business assistance programs, enabling existing businesses to expand, encouraging new businesses to launch, and attracting others to relocate to this thriving community on Florida’s west coast.
The EDC’s multi-year strategy for bringing greater diversity to the Bradenton Area’s economy aligns the community’s assets with business sectors that already have a presence in Manatee County. We work daily with local and state governments to facilitate business expansion, including helping businesses apply for economic development incentives and rapid response permitting. We connect growing businesses to resources for international trade, entrepreneurial development, workforce and much more.
If you are considering a Florida location for your business, or if your company is already in the Bradenton Area contact the EDC team.
